My creative space...
I've started on the first item for the house trousseau. A chunky knit throw for the end of our new bed in our new bedroom in our newly built house :) Hooray!
I'm using the biggest needles I could find, 20mm, 100cm Addi circular needles and the chunkiest yummiest wool I could find which is this beautiful 100% merino Rowan Drift. Here's a tip, after much searching I found an excellent bargain at Deramores in the U.K, which by the way, has $5- international postage ;)
Considering I took a gamble on the wool (not seeing it in person) and took a guess at the needles it's turning out really well so far. Its so lush and soft and textural and the colour is just divine. Happy times!
Can't wait to see what everyone else is up to :)
i cant wait to see this blanket in its entirety! i thought those were huge crystals you were holding up !
ReplyDeleteYes! Mr Lovely said they looked like crystals from Superman's arctic palace and my tights looked a peruvian hot water bottle cover... he has a fever and must be slightly delirious!
